Paddle Shift Faulty

Description is great, thanks. Was going to have a go last night, but wife had other plans when i got home from work... and no, it wasnt that, it was babysitting duties !!!

If yours didnt change gear above 65mph, then I think we may have different problems, but nice to have someone else on the forum having similar issues, and more importantly finding the reason behind them

I have my own cable, but am a novice\beginner to the world of DIS. Tried Inpa, but for some reason it refuses to connect to the car. Did you diagnose your problem yourself, or did you visit a specialist ? When I had the key coded, the specialist did have a look into the issue, and they didnt see any error codes, but stated that they could see the car receiving the gear shift updates, but the computer wasnt responding to them. They wanted to do upgrade the software on the gearbox, but I had to take the car away that evening, as I needed it the next day, and just havent had chance to go back - work and kids !

i had the fault codes read by BMKeys in E London when I got a new key coded. BTW if anyone needs a new/spare key Ben at BMKeys is excellent

I also took it to a main dealer who basically said to diagnose it open your wallet and once its empty you car might be fixed! :o

Focuses the mind somewhat!
