Padded steering wheels? help please

Do the guys just know how thick to make the steering wheel fee like an M one or do you have to specify a thickness?
 
Can the M wheel be made thinner? I find it just too thick for my liking, and no I won't swap for a non M before I get a trillion pm's
 
Good post, my wife now knows what to get me for my birthday. I hate the skinny std wheel,gonna get me a nice thick one in black alcantara. :thumbsup:
 
Evening guys,

This is my steering wheel, which I had done by royalsteeringwheels.com

As you can see it is the same profile as original wheel but chunkier. I opted for plain leather top and bottom, with perforated leather either side, with M tri colour stitching. I think it is a fairly good alternative to the costly or rare to find second hand original M sport wheel.

Looks great. The thing that puts me off the M wheels is the ///M badge (as well as the price obviously).
 
Right thanks for all the replies guys,

I got in touch with them and they said two weeks then i Paid my deposit and it is being fitted this tuesday morning!

I actually cannot wait, I decided to just go for leather all the way round and black sticking so only I know its been done but the comfort level should increase with the padding! my wheel he said cam off an alpine so doing a swap £120 for all in and fitted isn't bad at all!

Once I've had it done ill post pics! :thumbsup:
