In two weeks, I'll be leaving on a two week road trip with my lovely wife of some 28 years traveling in our Z4. I am somewhat dubious about the whole thing because this is the same woman who took 22 pairs on sandals on a 19 day cruise. I am further challenged by having a space saver spare in the trunk. A question for those of you that have worked around this problem, is this even possible? I have other vehicles and I like airlines. Help!

Use soft-sided bags. Leather Z has a clothes bag which attaches to the headrest for hanging clothes behind seat.

just one of the reasons I stuck to run-flats...

Ive successfully packed for a 2 week road trip including 1 large suitcase, 1 smaller suitcase, 2 pairs of hiking boots, coats some soft bags and probably more I cant remember. All without a spare though :?

can get a surprising amount in

and at least sandals aren't very bulky :P

Just tell her that she can't bring 22 pairs of sandals, otherwise she's not coming :poke:

Had similar problem when I went to france thankfully for a week, On the return trip with all the wine and shoppign, I quite literally put the shoes behind the seats and whereever i could squeeze. Mrs definitely nto happy, didnt want the wine. Luckily she only ahd abotu 10 pairs(still a lot on a 5 day trip). Its still worth taking the Zee. more fun.
