P03242 Question?

Hello, I started my 03 z4 3.0 today and got a red check engine light with the ! Mark..

Went to the parts store and got this code...

Suggestions say it's either the electronic sensor or thermostat?

The car coolant gauge is normal and no overheating...

Does anyone have any suggestions here? It has been pushing 110 degrees here in AZ daily..

Does anyone have an idea of costs for thermo replacement body at their local indy or dealer?

Really appreciate any advice here...

I believe that you have the thermostat with the electric heater. As a first shot, pull the black connector from the thermostat and check its condition. A little cleaning might solve the problem. If there's any evidence of moisture, you might also need to check for corrosion in the wires leading back to the ECU. Hate these codes.
