Oxygen sensor 2 code 2C46

hi, bought a code reader to try and sort out why my car keeps getting engine management light. Code 2C46 code displays and states o2 sensor front of cat.

checking parts diagram and it does not look like n46 has this sensor is it called Lambda sensor?

Yep they are lambda sensors. And on the N46 there are 4 of them. The hardest one to change is the front pre cat one. Or you could try an italian tune up after clearing the code. The N46 needs to be thrashed regularly to stop the emissions light throwing a code. Either way it wont effect the cars performance whether the light is on or not.
