The 2 reinhold modules are worth their weight on gold, esp the one touch which enalbes you to raise and lower the roof whilst in the car by pressing the buttons for only a second where as without you have to hold the button for 10 seconds or so while the roof completes the operation (car must be stopped still though)
The remote roof enalbes you to press the unlock button on the key 3 times to unlock the car and lower the roof and the lock button to close roof and lock car. Which means by the time you get in the car the roof is already down, and when you get out just lock it and go on your way while the roof closes which is just cool.

The salesman showed me yesterday that the roof can only be folded by holding the bottom in the car or key fob. He said it is a safety feature that avoids accident. He also said it is better to fold the roof only when the engine is running. Because the roof operation requires significant battery power.
So is "2 reinhold modules" an after-market feature, not actually from BMW?

The Z4 will be my 5th BMW (previous BMWs were all 3 and 5), and also my first softtop roadster. Do I have to pay special attention to the fabric roof? Someone said to me convertibles need special screenwash, which avoids damage to fabric roof. Is it correct? Do you use special fabric cleaner (e.g. Autoglym) to clean the roof after car wash?
