Ok I have an idea.

Say we can get 8 of us who are all as anal as the other about our cars, and love beautiful cars.

Say 8 of us all put in £8000 each, which gives us £64,000

With that we could buy a Lambo Gallardo, R8 or 430 maybe....

If we kept the car 3 years, that's 6 weeks each year for us each, to use the car, and if we sold the car after 3 years for perhaps £40,000, that's only cost us £3000 each

In addition to the above, insurance, upkeep etc etc....but a good idea???

Your thoughts please

Also we could sell our weeks to other people in the club if they wanted to buy them, or if any of us wanted to use the cars for weddings, special occasions etc etc.....I am tempted. Someone will obviously come along and pooh pooh the idea, but the idea is sound I think.

Nick TBH I think it would be too much hassle think of all the things that could go wrong.

Better off joining an organisation that does that sort of thing. You will also get to drive more than one model.

No idea on cost though.

Ok, how about a newer car, like a Cayman, which came with warranty for 3 years, that's a 50K car, £6000 each, and still 18 weeks over 3 years, sell it for £30,000, that's only cost us £2500 each....

Cayman isn't special enough

Def needs to be a supercar

Just think, every other month of each year, you get to drive a Lambo for a week......each week costing you about £160....

Plus insurance and upkeep

2 people with a mechanical head, 2 of us into detailing, 2 of us with a garage etc......between us we would keep it very very well looked after.....

All need to be local then.

One of the other problems is, if I pay that much money to drive a super car then for my 6 weeks I am going to drive it. ALL the time. So by the end of three years, assuming we all drove it like that, then the mileage and general wear and tear would be incredible... No matter how much you detailed it.

I would not fancy a super car with the imprint of a garage door on the front :P
