Welcome, nice car. I'd loose the flags on the plates. Plain plates with plain characters.
Great job on the rear lights btw.
Is that a tintin' technique that widely used? How easy is it to remove the tint if needs be?

Im not familiar with the tintin technique so I don't know but I've been doing lights this way for more than 15yrs as for reversal it's fairly easy and takes around half hour of wet flatting and then machine polish the plastic lenses back up and they then look as good as new in stock form.

As for the number plates I agree and I'm just waiting on the log book to return in my name so I can put my private plates on a plate I bought my son on the day he was born with his initials HCB (Harvey Charles Bayly) which I'll give him on his 17th birthday but until then I make use of it:

I'd like to find a sportier back box (not a loud one) but if I cant find something I'll find some nice stainless trims to weld to the original back box.

I can help you with that bit :) see my thread here; http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=89154

Mike

Hi mike do you have video links as the ones in the post are not working?

Excellent work chap  not sure I like the calliper colour but it certainly gets them noticed and I really like your alloys, do they have spacers fitted? I can vouch for Mike and his exhaust back box work as he did mine.

That's really impressive work and a great write up.

I like the calipers - great individual touch and very effective

Thanks

I fancied something different to the normal red, blue and yellow and I saw this neon green on a car with dark wheels and thought thats different.

Nope no spacers, I'll find out the specs of them and let you know.

Good to know about the exhaust

Lovely job looks great what's next?

Thanks

Looking to do something to the front end either the Z4 aerodynamic front bumper kit or the Genuine Alpina front spoiler with fitting kit and I'll be looking to something with the exhaust but nothing too loud

Cars looking good, nice work on the mods.
did you get replacement headlights,or change the interiors/

i think doing the front lights makes a big diffirence to the z, freshens it up...did it to my black 3.0 i had years ago,and was one of my fav mods.
Nice one

I totally agree the old lights look very dated with the big orange indicator and the lenses had deteriorated badly too.

There new lights, these are the ones I bought:

Private plates look nice. I've recently put a set on my z.

Where are you based? You may find a bit of work on here tinting tail lights. Have you ever had any tint problems with the Police or MOTs?

Nice work.
What are those wheels? they look great.

I'm afraid I have no idea they came on the car as the only modification it had and the previous owner had no info as he bought them secondhand.

They do look great and really suit the Z4

If anyone else has any idea what they might be let us know?

Im based near Cambridge in a little village called Litlington.

As I said I've been tinting lights this way for more than 15 yrs and I've never had any issues with either the police or MOT's because the light still shows through great as can be seen in the picture I took of the lights and indicators on and also the reflectors still function as they should and work in the dark when lit up by lights shining on them.

Hi, like the mods you've done so far,

Worth checking the price of the aero front bumper direct from BMW think they are still available, that's where I got my aero spoiler and side skirts from :

I agree the headlights really freshen up the front of the car, where they an easy swap or in need of any rewiring? I think they would suit a jet black roadster like mine with the black inserts. 8)

Dead easy to fit and plugged straight it to the stock harness there also designed to be able to run HID's if desired which I am running.

I'm not a fan of aftermarket headlights but when I spotted these online fitted to another Z4 they looked very OEM which was the reason I pulled the trigger and bought a set and I'm glad I did as they look great and there fully E marked so are fully road legal and the fit was perfect.

I'd fully recommend them to anyone looking to rid the dated orange indicatored headlights in favor for these far more up to date looking set because as you say they totally freshen up the front end.

Again if anyone is interested here's the link:

Forgot to say the rings are optional and don't need to be used because the side light is the bar section across the top of the light which you can see in my pictures with the side lights on.

I hooked up the rings to see what I thought and I like them.
