Chris here,
I live near Warrington Cheshire, never owned a BMW car before but am seriously considering a 3.0 Z4.
I'm very much liking the look of this one but it's rather difficult to get to from here as I would be having to use public transport with the general unwashed :D to get there with the intent of doing the deal and driving home.
My other vehicles are motorbikes and a SAAB as a workhorse with the Z4 intended as a play thing mainly.
Any thoughts on this one and what should I look for or be wary of?

Thanks,
Chris

If you do go for this one you will know the car very well by the time you get home after the 7 hour drive. Good luck with the search and welcome to the forum.

Hi
It looks like a very clean low mileage we’ll optioned example
There’s also a 35is for sale on here That may be of interest to you

Thanks Chippie, why did you have to show me that?
It's out of my price range unfortunately.
Hmm, what have I got that I can sell to get it?

I think it looks like a very nice example good colour combo and well specced car low miles at the right price. If it is the model that you want i.e. 30i then I would make the effort to go. Heck I travelled 1500 miles to get mine! LOL

Hi, quite a few bikers on here, top down motoring is about as close as you can get to the freedom of riding a bike-maybe even more so without the need to wear a helmet.
Plenty of info on here to help with the ownership experience

Well, it looks like I've only gone and done the deal including having it trailered to me!
So what do I absolutely need to get to go with it?

Congratulations on the purchase 👍

How about a hat and gloves 😁

Hat maybe but I shouldn't need gloves, it's got a heated steering wheel! Who'd have known?

Thanks for the welcomes.
Due to arrive sometime this week.
Tried to add it to my current insurance, Chris Knott, as a multi policy to be told they don't do multi car.
They offered to set it up on its own policy and give me a similar ncb. Other policy runs till the end of March but there is no refund if I cancel to take a multi car policy with another company.
Time to look on the comparison sites methinks.

Being put on the trailer today, could be here by weekend :D
Anyone else bought their car without seeing, hearing or driving it or is it just me mad enough to do that?

Yes, the last four excluding the Z where I had been stalking its previous owner.

Even if you do your research you have to spend a bit of money, sometimes you just get lucky - welcome onboard, looks a cracking car!

Cheers, looking forward to getting it.
Got a quote for £385 for the insurance as a separate policy.
