Outside car cover.

Anyone got one, use one or seen one...?

My street has severe seagull issues and I can't be out washing the car every ten minutes, so short of getting one of these covers I can't see (legally) what I can do to stop my car being used for target practice.

The £115 BMW ask for them isn't bank breaking if they fit perfectly. :)

Here they are on the BMW site:

I bought one recently. Fits well you just need to unscrew the aerial, however if you need to use it a lot then you could cut out a hole.

I have used one for the past five years,it is a noah cover and works very well at keepng the car clean and neat. however as far as someone taking it they are custom fit for z4's so that should slow some of them down, but locks are made for honest people, if they want it they are going to get it.

I've just bought a cover off ebay, genuine BMW cover, only £50, its easy to fit, only draw back is the aerial, it as to be removed, this makes me wonder if it would be possible to fit a shark fin aerial, does any one have any thoughts on shark fin aerials?

Well, the cover went on yesterday evening just before an almighty storm arrived here :o . The cover stayed in place and seemed ok.

Today however, it's blowing an absolute gale down here in SE Kent, so I'm monitoring the cover very closely. It's very snug fitting and has a clear bit for the rear number plate too. The only thing I was surprised about was the lack of a strap going under the car. Still it's all still in place right now. :?

Taz, get yourself a 3" stubby aerial, the cover fits over no bother..!!

Voodoo, cheers for advice, i'm 1 step ahead though, i fitted my stubby aerial earlier in the week, it looks good

They have some decent ones from empire. their website has a computer generation tool so you can see what the cover looks like on and off the car pretty cool.
