Hi all.
Im looking for recommendations for a good outside cover for my Z4 2014 hardtop model.
Thanks in advance Ian.

I never bother and I always have older toys than your 2014. Have a look at this thread, it might be of interest. https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=123893

The OP is looking for an outdoor cover.. no use pointing him to a thread where everyone puts their car in a garage.

OP, i have used Stormforce covers on my e85 previously for 5 winters, no issues with them marking the paintwork they a 5 layer cover with a soft underside.. waterproof and breathable too so no damp under there.. downside is they are a bit pricey at 170 odd quid but they do do the job and are well made.

Fair enough, just trying to point out that there is a school of thought that says they're not really required. Guess it also depends on where you live ;-) The description on the Monsoon cover from your link suggests the Stormforce cover in the range might be better suited to UK weather, in that case it's £213.67 for the E89.

I used these guys https://www.specialisedcovers.com/car-covers/

I started out with a lightweight bmw car cover which fitted well but where I live the weather can be wild so went for this...

Very pleased, bit heavy but exceptionally well made and just the job for a secure cover...

As others will point out its essential to make sure that the car is very very clean prior to putting the cover on otherwise you’ll get some scratching effects as the wind flaps the fabric..

The cover I got is very heavyweight so doesn’t flap anyway but that’s the one issue which is a bit of a faff but if you haven’t got a suitable garage it’s your best alternative...

When I pull the cover off it just looks like it’s been garaged...
