Out of the Closet!

Evening all, new member from West Mids. I've been lurking on here for about 6 weeks or so whilst I've been searching for a car. Never had a BMW before let alone a Z4. Jumped straight in at the deep end with a 35is :driving: Dropped a deposit on this before Xmas, it's been a long 2 week wait before catching the train up to Preston yesterday morning to pick it up. Quick picture of it outside the dealers as I arrived.

2013 on a 63 plate, 11,728 miles. Deep Sea Blue with Canberra Beige Extended Leather, Extended Storage, Extended Lighting, Media Package Professional with Nav, Folding Mirrors, Cruise with Brake, Electric Heated Memory Seats with Lumbar & Bolster, PDC front & rear, 19" 326's, Rain & Light Sensors, DAB Radio, remainder of 'Service Inclusive' until Sept 2018, Connected Drive Services. I think that's about it, would have loved the DSP Loudspeakers and Heated Wheel but hey ho, I'd rather listen to the exhaust and I can wear a pair of gloves. :D

Only a weekend car for me as I don't commute, so will be mostly tucked up in the garage. Looking forward to getting along to some meets but there doesn't seem to be much happening around the West Midlands?

Cheers
Pete

Super clean looking car pete  how did you enjoy the drive home?
Rob

Didn't look like that after the 93 mile drive home in the mist and the rain! Loved it, can't wait to get to grips with it on a decent road trip.
Another quick pic after a jet wash this afternoon but the light was fading, so not at all crisp

I didn't want to say....but I knew you would

Poor old eff1guy, just bought himself a cracking looking 35is and has walked straight into an in joke, you blokes should be ashamed

In all seriousness though that is a lovely looking car, DSB really suits the lines of the E89 - Hope you have some fun it!

Stu.

Welcome OP.

I love Deep Sea Blue, and you might as well jump in at the deep end with a 35iS!

Now you just need to find some reasons to drive it before next weekend.

Bit worried when I saw the title! :P
Verry nice looking Zed and welcome to the forum!

Very fine looking E89 indeed.

So what car were you driving before, that it gets described as a Closset. :o :?

Cheers Guys, thanks for the warm welcome. Not a colour combo that was my first choice but it looks so much better in the flesh compared to pics.

Have moved over from the dark side, just let go of a MK1 TT, 3.2 DSG. Bit sad to see it go, was a great car, never let me down once in the 6 and a half years I had it. Wasn't looking to change but saw a Z4 whilst car shopping with a mate, made the mistake of sitting in it & then taking a test drive. Ended up smitten, especially once I'd driven a 35. :D

I remember that was the one TT I had to pay some respect, back when I had my FIAT Coupe 20vT. Sounds like it was some what more reliable.
