Taxed the Z today with the dry weather set to go into next week. I give it a quick once over then set off first stop to get some Super Unleaded then nice and gentle for 8 miles then thrashed it like I had nicked it. It was great to be listening again to Mikes back box mod and with the sunshine what more does a man want. It was really funny feeling after driving the Discovery for the last five months it was like my arse was on the tarmac :o

Supposed to snow at the weekend :exitright:
Nah, not really  .
Getting mine back on the road next month, let the salt and crap dry up a bit

The best reason I have ever heard for driving a Discovery.

Five months though. I could never last that long, without the Zed :driving:

5 months OP! You've got more willpower than me!

Sounds like you had a good drive though - I hope the weather stays good for you.

Nice to hear the Zeds coming out to play - I can only imagine the thrill of getting back behind the wheel after 5 months driving 'normal' vehicles :driving:

With all these Zed's appearing back on the roads I stand a chance of spotting one (or being spotted). I regularly see some daily drivers in E85s and E89s when going to and from work but never get a wave back from them.

You're brave waving at E89's - even E85's hardly ever wave back to me :(

I like to live on the edge  .... I find it makes it bit more entertaining with the "will they" or "won't they" just blatantly ignore me.

One reason I take it off the road, it's like having a new car all over again. When I put it away it was detailed and then a cover on it in the garage, so when it came out yesterday it looked fantastic, one proud guy driving down the road

Mine is in an indoor storage facility a couple of miles from my home, plugged into a battery tender/trickle-charger and under a cover with lots of dryer sheets sprinkled throughout to discourage rodent incursion. I am hoping that in three weeks or less, the weather will be OK and other items (cars, boats, trailers) will also be coming out of storage so I can get my car out, as it is presently buried deep in the room.
Last spring, I unplugged the charger and turned the key and it started instantly as if it had just been parked the day before.
