Out in the snow

Just took the 30i out of the garage to let it warm up. Never got off the drive. These cars are defintely not for the snowy conditions. Wheels spinning all over the place. Took me ages to get her back into the garage. Warmed her up though :-)

The same story here last week...My driveway was clean, but on the road I drove only 2 meters before I got stuck. Digged it out and parked the car again in my garage. Jumped into my Ford Fiesta an drove to my work.

Managed to take mine out for a drive yesterday. Even got the roof down! No snow now though but I hear it may be coming back tomorrow!

I was soooooo tempted to put the roof down during the last couple of days was a quick blast in some winter sunshine, but was actually worried it might not go back up with the low temperatures. Do the electronics not prevent it from moving if the temperature is too low.....?

It stops moving at -10 degrees C so there is a slight chance you get could stuck with it down, depends on how cold it's getting through the day?

Aaahh ok, thanks, didn't realise -10C was the limit. Is it also true that the air con compressor doesn't run if its below 3C ?

Can't believe the latter is true. It was -5c here this morning and ran the aircon at startup to assist in demisting.
X5 lives outside and the aircon always works and that down to the rarer -10c to -15c
