It's really my wife's car. But I will do all the regular maint. including detailing, so I've claimed a certain % of ownership. (I'm also co-owner on paper.

It's funny you should like the look of the front without the plate. I was thinking how cool your car's look with them on! Great looking plates! But I will agree that it's a much "cleaner" look without them.
One thing that's nice about living in the deep south here in Mississippi, is that we don't have very much snow. Last winter we had none. For that reason, we don't have salt and sand to deal with, like when I lived up north in New England. (Ipswich) A car like this would/should be put away in the garage for the winter. Down here, rust is not a problem, unless you live on the coast. Even there, it's minimal. We live 90 miles from the Gulf of Mexico.
But what does damage here is the incredible amount of sunshine and heat in the summer. Hail from big thunderstorms is another issue. We don't have a garage, so we'll have to purchase a car cover.
