Our First Wedding Anniversary

We were married on 01102011. Monday will be our first weddding anniversary, but we are going out to celebrate today instead :) . We have been together since 1995.

Can you remember what you did for your first anniversary? Any suggestions for me?
 
Can't remember mine that long ago........Married 28 years and been with my wife since 1978. :o

Been with Mrs Gov since 1972 - married 38 years - can't remember our first anniversary but wouldn't have done a lot as in those days we were skint !

Recommend an expensive bunch of flowers delivered ( all women love this ! ) and a meal out in a posh restaurant .


I'm a romantic really - but nearly blew it once when I was thinking about buying her an iron for her birthday until a good friend told me if I did I would be wearing it !

Can't remember how we celebrated the first anniversary. Probably the same as the following 32 of them. Usually involves me paying for something that has been preselected as a gift (by she who knows best) then paying for dinner out or a holiday or something equally expensive.

My advice is to set the bar low then you have a chance of exceeding it in future years.

Can you tell I'm a romantic at heart?

Thank you, everyone. Cj's advice was bit too late. She got a watch this afternoon, and it was an Omega. Rolex may be the 15th or 20th anniversary present :rofl: . We had Italian for dinner, which was not planned. The restaurtant that we wanted to go was full even we got there at 18:00.
