That’s a good idea Fred, I’ll bare that in mind on our search

Evening All, a quick update on our move. As you know we are moving from Kent to North Yorkshire and our intensions are to rent initially for perhaps 6 months to a year which would give us time to look around and find a home to settle down. My wife and I drove up yesterday to Middleton Quernhow just outside Ripon to look at a property we’ve had our eye on for a couple of weeks and are happy to say after meeting with the owner and current tenants and a good look around the property we decided to rent it.
Things should move fairly quickly from here having sign contracts on our own home a couple of days ago. We anticipate on moving in on the first week of July

I don’t know how I’ve missed this thread until now but very pleased for you Ed, sounds like a wonderful new adventure about to unfold. Good luck to you, hope everything goes smoothly with the move.

Thank you Bob

You could be right Paul although there is a local man that will do it for a decent price

That looks lovely.
If your man could come down please, been quoted £450 to cut one hedge which I did myself yesterday in 3 hours :x

He obviously saw the 15 cars you have and 6 garages and thought ……….

Thats very nice, get a ride on - few hours of peace and quiet every week
Thanks, there will be plenty of peace and quiet here, perhaps to much but that will give us a good idea about how quiet we want it to be when we eventually buy.

Trust me when you have peace and quiet you will not want to go back into a large town.

We lived in a city and moved to the sticks with just 3 houses and love it, no noisy neighbours, no fumes and no trouble parking, the biggest issue is keeping the cattle off the drive

That place does look very nice, I am sure you will love it

That looks decent Eddie, I’m still not missing the noise & congestion we had at the previous Smartbear towers

I’ll love the quiet Rob although saying that it’s fairly quiet here but the roads are busy and not a lot of ways to enjoy the Zed locally
