 Mostly Holland. Sometimes UK.
Just one over-exuberent and quite probably inexperienced blip of the loud pedal is all it takes. What a numpty. :(
Will probably be going back for yet another rebuild.

Hardly a huge crash. Money will have that looking like new again in a few weeks. :tumbleweed: Still could of hurt in an old car like that. Did the driver fall asleep or something. No apparent attempt to put opposite lock on, that I could see. :? :driving:

To me, it was simply a case of an inexperienced driver not knowing where the margin of error is/was.
You can hear him blip the throttle for some reason and that’s when he broke traction sending him into the wall.
You can already tell he’s either an inexperienced driver or just didn’t know the car by the long-winded downshifts into that back chicane at Spa.
Probably some rich tw@t with more money than skill/sense.

Ah ha, the benefit of having sound. No speakers on my PC unless I switch the TV on.

Very expensive looking, sounded like it broke traction accelerating causing the diversion into the wall

i dont think he blipped the throttle and broke traction... i think the boost kicked in, dumped a load of torque on the wheels, which then span up and spat him at the wall...

a porsche 962 will have monumental turbo lag. the driver probably put his foot down a couple of seconds earlier, nothing happened for a while and then all of a sudden he's lit up the rears and found a wall. lets not forget a 962 has ~600bhp and only weighs ~850kgs, so has a power to weight ratio of 700bhp/tonne. with no traction control.

i suspect i'd do exactly the same thing. and personally, i'd love to be in a position where i can even sit in a 962, let alone potentially own one and drive it round Spa.

Am I missing something not seeing any photo

It’s a video attached to Chris’s first post.

Rob

Not seeing any attachment either :(

Maybe this link will work for you. Apparently the owner of the car is threatening legal action agaisnt the guy who posted the video.
Well, if I was the owner of that car I'd probably want any video evidence of it buried out of sheer embarrassment too. *Chortle*

Turns out the car doesn't actually have any racing pedigree, so no big loss other than for the dufus owner perhaps.
He probably ought to invest in some decent driver-coaching before stepping into another expensive track-focused car. Or just stay at home and build models and play with his stock portfolio maybe. Plonka.

Also, I don't think this was turbo boost causing any loss of traction as the revs were much too low. In any case I would suspect that boost was probably dialled way down. I think simply a case of 'ran out of skill / fkd it up bigtime'.

Having read the second article, sounds like the owner is a total bell end. Shame some one with so little driving skill, can afford to wreck good cars.

...so the video was ultimately taken down.
Porker owner probably got some expensive lawyers to do some effective arm-twisting.
Worraknob.
