Ouch

Maybe it's just whacky little me and my understanding of exchange rates, but that price seems kind of up there! That's more than I paid for mine new.

The UK doesn't rip people off AT ALL

Honestly...

An ///M new with current exchange rates would be about $87k (based on my cars cost price before discounts)

Sick

Sure is an interesting accident to 'pinch' it so hard each side with limited forward movement. Could almost have hit the left side on a post and spun around to a second hit on the other side

I don't see this as a forward crash

As for the price - welcome to the UK

Yep, this is from Parkers guide website for a 2007 Z4M:

Original Price £41,707
Franchised Dealer £32,450
Independent Dealer £31,075
Private Good £29,150
Private Poor £25,575
Part Exchange £27,225

Good old UK!! :|

Mind you, all those prices are a big hit on the new price!! :o

Hmm I like the interior....

Definitely a spin, tow hook says maybe trackday but who knows...if it was on the road possibly into a lamp post based on the left hand side? Interesting accident.

O/S/F WING - £230
N/S/F WING - £230
O/S DOOR - £700
O/S QTR REPAIR - £150
N/S DOOR REPAIR - £300
X2 SEAT AIRBAGS - £800+
He's also forgotten two side skirts at £180 a pop.

Plus paint and labour, and all the bits you cannot see (smashed inner arch liners, various bits of hidden plastic, possible N/S bonnet repair at the top of the wing, M badges at £19 each!!) and I reckon thats around a £5k job, valuing the car at £25k ish. Thats only a few less than a 'straight' one thats not CAT C registered.

Looks like you've run a few good numbers. It soon shows how it stacks up and why it's an insurance company write off.

Personally I'd not touch a car like this other than to strip for its complete drivetrain to retrofit.

Bet the breakers picked it up for £10k to £15k

LOL!!!!! I thought some kind of missile had shot through it, until I realised it's the side indicator sections that are missing, LOL!

Nah that will be as good as new when repaired, unfairly lumped in with 'proper' crashes IMO...It's purely cosmetic. From the pics it looks like there is no frame damage, and the wings are just skins - covers for the cars structure. There is a huge void behind each wing, and these are bolted on - no welding. Once repaired (properly!) it will be as good as new, I just think it should be cheaper! A great project for someone with a bodyshop in his free time.

THIS I wouldn't touch :) Can still be fixed, but no thanks.

OH I'm sure it's not as bad as a typical shunt that's twisted some integral frame parts and if you had the right equipment then yes I'd agree with that as your putting the labour in for free.

I just can't see the point of adding £5k min to a £20k project when you can pick up a 2006 Roadster for that money and not have the stigma of the Cat C
