Other cars considered before opting for the Z4M

Well run flats are your problem, take them off straight away!!! Plus BMWs are renowned for a harsher ride throughout the ranges. But I'm young and not really too fussed unless I'm in the back which I never am.. that would be in a 3-5 series but now I have the M i don't find it any worse than an E46/E92 M3 or even a mini cooper/s which I have had all... Must be an age thing

Clearly the M doesn't have runflats - but you knew that didn't you?

No, you wait until you want to go down a bumpy road quickly and you'll see what I mean. Can't see how if you've driven an E92 M3 you can compare them. Even with EDC set to full attack mode in the E92 M3 it was like a magic carpet compared to the Z4M.

Anyway, have you picked yours up yet?

My E46 M3 vert was like a luxury limo over poor surfaces, for a performance car it handled our cr@p road surfaces very well. The Z4MC is much firmer and you'll feel the lumps and bumps much more. I think it's acceptable but it's pretty firmly damped.

Wow thought this was a friendly forum but today all I seem to get is attack! Yes my dad had an E46 and E92 that I was insured on, I live in cumbria where all the roads are absolutely destroyed from poor winter and agricultural traffic! Therefore the bumpy-ness is probably around the same were not talking a small crack compared to you city boys talking about big holes so the difference of 'good roads to bad roads' for you is completely different whereas i would describe a good road round here as bad, i really do live in the sticks. Is a guy not aloud to have an opinion JEEESE! and for your info if you read the post he says he was driving a 2.0 z4 with runflats! Also depends where you were sitting, it was my dads car and we used it as a family car, the ride is rough in the back.

Cheers again

"Is a guy not aloud to have an opinion JEESE!" should be "Is a guy not allowed to have an opinion JEESE!" :fuelfire: :D :D

No wrong opinions allowed on here Tom Scott, sorry. :D
