OT : What do you do for a living?

Retired from the Fire Service a few years ago and now employed part time as a Tutor dealing mainly with Substance Misuse and Awareness et al, loved and love both jobs . . .

Delboy :)

I'm a doctor (surgical trainee). Absolutely love my job and couldn't imagine doing anything else. Still count myself lucky to be doing it and see it as a privilege to be allowed to do what I do. I know that might sound cheesy but that is honestly how I feel.

I just wish we were left to get on with it without all the red tape and beauracracy that there is nowadays :(

This thread really shows that there is no fixed profile for a Z4 driver... I work on dive ships as a Life Support Supervisor, which means I run the Saturation Diving Systems which keep the Deep Sea Divers alive and happy in their work. I'm presently working on one of the most advanced ships with computer and PLC controlled systems.

im 23, I just graduated from Brunel, did Industrial Design, now working as a brand guy, as well as part time art dealer, stock broker and landlord.

previously I designed the interiors of these, as well as other private jets..

I'm a designer mainly working on bar, restaurant, night club, bespoke furniture and commercial office interior design and have worked on some pretty cool award winning concepts. (Portsmouth superclub liquid & Envy brand is probably the largest)

It's a good balance of creative concept design which also requires a good knowledge of architectural technical details.

I also do a bit of graphic & branding design when I get chance. Plus, I'm also a landlord and would like to get into to the property side of things a bit more.

I practice business/corporate law and civil litigqtion. But interestingly enough, with my firm's political connections, I was appointed a Special Prosecutor and I prosecute DUIs for the municipalities our firm represents.

If that is you in your "Avatar" then you can prosecute me anytime (when cut speeding) hahaha

I am indeed a real life tech lol.
Self worth doesnt mean much these days, its more to do with what you got in the bank. Thanks for trying to make me feel better though lol

You know what will do it .... to put all them Dollars, Pounds or Euros into your pocket :) .... of course you do ... start your own business, a garage and look after them fine BMW's I can attest to it that self worth only materializes when you stop working for other people :) you know what I mean.

I'm an Air Traffic Controller and have the pleasure of controlling traffic into and out of all the major London airports. Sometimes I wonder why I subject myself to it but then I just look at the Zed and it all becomes clear!! :D
Honestly though, I really enjoy it.

You like this one ...

Tower to Piper 202 ... "What is your hight and position?"

Piper 202 to Tower ... "I am 6 foot 2 and in the cockpit"

I think we have enough talent here to start our own company ... question is what should our product or service be Hmmmmmm :)

I know one thing for sure we all agree on what type of company car we would drive ... a Z4 of course ... wait we could design a Z2 and make it an ///M 8)

Definitely one of the most interesting threads.

I used to be a tooth miner in Wales now I try and fix dodgy doctors and dentists

Steve,

+1 on that one ... let's keep it going

Many years ago when I came first to Canada, I was a Dishwasher ... no one wanted anything to do with my German technical papers ...

Ended up being owner of my own Engineering Company .... now retired looking back just smiling about it all :)
