Hi all.
Is there a link somewhere on the forum or elsewhere where I can find out what the original specification and any upgrades that was bought on my car?

Yes, just Google "bmwvin" and put in the last 7 characters of your VIN - it'll give the original spec.

I tried that site but it asks you to download something and I'm always wary about doing that. Did you do it without issues?

I didn't have a problem with it, but there are others "bmwarchiv.org" and "bimmer.work" - although the latter also requires a download so I wouldn't be surprised if most of them do.
