Hi Buddies and Mates,

I have the broken microswitch in the trunk/boot problem and see the how to fix it pictures on the Mr.Carfix repository and see shipkiller writing about jumping the microswitch with a small wire but I guess i'm a little slow: do I just wrap a little thin piece of wire around the prongs that connect to the mircoswitch cable? Or is there an even easier way of jumping the microswitch?

I bought a new microswitch cable but i'm thinking about just leaving it jumped, so I don't have to crawl around in the back to fix this again.

What do you guys think?

Hi, just follow mrCarfix procedure, to refit the switch lever or replace the switch, whatever is necessary.

You can bridge the switch with a wire across the two connections to see if it's the switch at fault !

Ok, i put it in and i'm having to duck tape down the little metal arm to activate the microswitch but it works otherwise. I guess the lowered trunk isnt setting off the microswitch for some reason. Does anybody know what this might be?
