Orange dsc and brake warning lights

Evening all, after having successfully passed my French contrôle technique(mot),I go to drive my car away and noticed the two lights illuminated. So my question is this: is there anything they could have done during the mot to cause this?bearing in mind I’ve never experienced this before and the car was running and driving perfectly before,I recently did a full refurb on braking system inc fluid and replaced battery a few days before.
I scanned with Carly when I got home and have a 005E20 fault code, which is pressure sensor no 1 on the master cylinder.
So my conundrum is this do I just replace parts Willy nilly and hope for the best or try 2nd hand?

Change the pressure sensors first then clear the codes and see if it comes back.

Cheapest fix first!

Cheapest fix at 115€ no 2 in the diagram if that is the problem ok,but I’ve been nearly burned by Carly in the past with my airbag occupancy sensor code just about to rip seat out and spend the money and the airbag light cleared.
Anybody have a spare sensor for sale I can try ?

Do you really trust the knockoffs ?i found one genuine for 94€ buts that’s only good if it solves my problem which is why I’d rather test with a second hand sensor first. 😉

well, you could swap the two sensors over, then see if the fault code switches to the other one...

though, i've had this, two cheap sensors off ebay solved the problem for me. i didnt even check which sensor it was, i just replaced both.

though be aware a little bit of brake fluid will leak out, so when you unscrew the old one, have the new one ready to screw in straight away!

Good idea brillomaster, will try this,Funny thing is car is driving as good as before although I’ve not had the car long enough to make a comparison, but 100x better than my e36

All fixed,thanks guys
I bought a secondhand sensor here for €40 scanned and cleared with Carly, the old sensor was wet inside with connector.can they leak here?
