Took the zed out today for a short trip and noticed a annoying stone chip right in the middle of my drivers door. What options have I got? Re-spraying whole door or would a bodyshop be able to touch it in? Thanks for any advice,I know it will bug me until its right :x

well chips away quoted me £195+vat today bodyshop wanted £160 cash and can start tomorrow so went with them. Expensive chip ooh well

I thought chips away quote was expensive also especially when you add vat. Bodyshop has got some lovely classics in at the moment from a Tr6's to 911 and should be able to take their time more than chips away could.

My Mrs had a scrape on her old car, went all the way along the sill. Was less than £100, VAT incl.

Double that for a stone chip seems excessive

Totally agree the reason given is the whole door is going to have to be worked on as chip is bang in the middle :headbang:

Remember to take some before and after shots tabbie. May be others near you that could do with a good bodyshop.

Decided to take my Z4 to Sports Paint, Unit 21,Babbage Rd,Engineer Park,Sandycroft,Deeside,CH5 2QD Tel. 01244 539899.
I have used many bodyshops in the past and almost all I feel have given me poor workmanship, but Sports Paint have done a top job and am very pleased. Can not praise them enough :D
Pics say it all

Good reviews for a bodyshop, normally hard to come by

Looks like a great job....

My bonnet needs work, have about 8 chips, been quoted £600

What was the final bill? (if you're ok to share!)

Tapatalking...
£160 which compared to chipsaway is a bargain they wanted silly money. Sports paint even buffed out afew tiny marks out of the rear panel for me. Am 100% happy with the work and am extremely fussy!
