Continuing my retrim of the zed I've been given two options for the two dash pieces.

Cover both in BMW Oregon leather for £90 or cover in two different colours with contrast stitching for £230.

Single colour would match covered centre panel

but might be a bit dull and boring.

Contrast would look a bit like this

Trying to copy the oem dash like this (which had to go back to its owner some time!)

Unless you're getting the seats done to match (i.e. with red touches), then I'd go for a single colour, but then I'm a boring old git.

Dash looks a bit wrinkled?

Single colour for me as well.

I would go with the custom. My interior is all black and i find it pretty dull would love some colour! Plus its hardly off OEM because the Z4 offered some pretty funky custom interior options.

Well, us red-seaters already have all the colour we need :P

The third picture is OEM so not really custom - I'm thinking a bit of red might lift the interior, otherwise it's all black. Hmm still undecided!

Ps bright red exterior if that helps

I'm not keen on just a tiny line of colour. But all black is is boring. If you want a splash of colour, it has to be more of an element. Cover the whole dash in a colour!

...even if it's black.

I'd go for all black with red stitching. The 2 tone just doesn't do it for me.

Red stitching would look especially good if you have an ///M stitched wheel.

That might be my choice too - same price as multi colour tho but the mrs says no (it is her car after all)

Ye I no, I just meant it wont look out of place, as BMW made something similar.

 also now thinking bright red main panel and black top and bottom - might look a bit tarty but easy to change back to original.

I like the two tone dash... but then i might be bias :P

But imo i would get it plain black with the seats... as the small splash of red wont match the exterior body colour either.

Do like the two tone seats - and currently running the same dash as yours. Small splash of brighter colour helps lift the death metal all black look!
