I'm looking at changing my car, I was looking at upgrading to a E90 but my funds would only stretch to a 2.0 msport but I really want a car with a bit more umph for when I get my daft head on so I'm also looking at this one. The one problem is they are having trouble finding the service history at the moment as it's just come in.

So what do you good folks think.
 
Looks OK but would certainly benefit from a personal visit to check it out :) :)

Can't understand why they are having trouble with the service history and they should have got the service book from the previous owner....? :o

Doesn't say how many previous owners? Tell them to get the service book and you may be interested if not a walk away for me :(
 
I've been and had a look and a drive and it all seams ok it's nice and tight,it doesn't rattle and squeek half as much as mine.It was a main dealer part ex that they have aquired thats why the service book has gone astray, they are on the hunt for it now.

It's had 1 former keeper.
 
The insurance company might be able to tell you wether it had an accident or not, and the MOT info should certify the mileage and any modifications that required an extra MOT. The number of extra MOT's should also show how many owners it had?

Other than the steering wheel, the options and specs seem to be correct for a 3.0i, so that might mean that the previous owner didn't fiddel about?
 
The little tag on the number plate is from Sopers of Lincon, I've managed to have a look at it MOT history and all 3 were done at Sopers and the mileage looks ok. It's had a couple of rear springs but that's not unusual is it. I'll give Sopers a bell on Monday and see what they have to say.
 
Well I'm not buying the car now.

When I spoke to them on Saturday I was happy to go ahead with the deal subject to the service history matter being cleared up, however they said that they would not be happy to go ahead untill they had all the information. We ageed thay they would get back to me today when they have had time to do this and all being well we would go ahead with the deal.

They hadn't rang me by the time I got in from work so I rang the only to be told they sold the car yesterday, to say I'm not happy is an understatment :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: .
 
Argh, hate it when that happens.

I'm sure you'll find another equally as good if not better.
