Thanks for the answers guys, i really like the colour, but simply dont want to be perceived in a negative light.

Most people here seem to be in support of the colour which is nice.

Buy the car you like.

I think yellow is a dreadful colour..I wouldn’t be seen in one!

I dont like nor dislike it.

Yellow is renowned for being a stay clear colour not only because it stands out more than others attention wise but also resale value. Yellow cars are usually among the lowest within a model range because its so marmite and only certain people would have the balls to pull it off. It seems a hard sell.

The pheonix yellow colour of the E46 M3 for example were always the cheapest until the last few years when the colour has had more appreciation. It can work both ways, they are rarer now so command a premium.

Production numbers in the UK across all brands in 2017, yellow accounted for 0.4% of all cars sold.

If it were me I would stay clear, on the other hand you could bag yourself something unique.

I’m reasonably brave with bold colours, but not bright yellow brave enough to drive this...

If you like it OP that is all that matters!

At least it isn't white/silver/grey/black!

As much as I love my Montego Blue Z4 I'd love to find a Hellrot or Phoenix Yellow one - so much easier to find in a car park than my Charcoal Grey E91! :( Maybe that's why I still wish I hadn't sold my Imola Red E46?

And what’s wrong with a crisp, white zed? :poke:

Very interesting stats there cheers.

Thank you for your opinions everyone, might go for white as cheaper to get hold of and better resale.

That's got me confused - if white is cheaper does it really resell better?

Anyway, good luck finding the right one - whatever colour it is!

I think that Atacama Yellow is lovely on the e89, really complements the shape but agree it does make future resale a bit trickier.. not sure it would put me off though if the price was right

I always liked the yellow and had my eyes on a couple, but wasn't a fan of the alcantara interior. Wish they did an all leather option. I especially didn't like the yellow door cards and didn't see many with the iDrive system either which was a let down for me. So never did purchase one. Still love the exterior colour though.

I love it! Only problem with yellow is that they get covered with flies, especially greenfly and seem to suffer a lot more than other colours from fly-splats. Mrs had a bright yellow Megan and I was always cleaning it.
