I think it looks lovely and to be fair a track day will do no harm provided it is maintained off track! GLWTS

Hmm, not sure I would agree with that. The stress on the components is infinitely higher than for a normally driven car. Sure, you can change the boiled brake fluid more frequent so no harm there, but where metal parts are being stressed it is not immediately obviously.

how bout a car thats been driven super hard on the roads with all the pot holes, jumps and belly scraping it MAY have done? ?? ///m cars , m3s, z4m, gt3, porsches, they tend to have been enjoyed on the track, as long as it hasn't had an off it wouldn't bother me/ shouldn't bother anyone.. Ok if its done 100s of lap of the ring then lets make it an issue but other than that i just don't think its an issue, we are all car enthusiasts, we take our cars to places to enjoy them, isn't that what all this is about? Even my little fiesta with it 180hp is easily frisky enough and handles so well its best enjoyed on some sort of track, wether you like it or not 90% of these type of cars are taken to some sort or place where it can be enjoyed, you could easily pick up a car with no track use but been ragged within an inch of its life on the road and donut kind around the local industrial estate! On the contrary some of the best prepared, cleanest cars, I've seen are at the track where said car is the "toy".

Im just reading of some of the ///M owners that attended a Vmax day, great safe way to run the car up to speed and really see what its got and ENJOY it, theirs a short handling course on the way back to the start and its epic fun, worrying about the stress on components ( from reasonable enjoyment) and having such a car doesn't go hand in hand imo and if for you it is, you really shouldn't have purchased that lovely 911...

'easily pick up a car with no track use but been ragged within an inch of its life on the road'.

True, but a tracked car basically guarantees it. Each to his own. I take a similar view when I buy a bike. Heavily tricked usually means 'weekend hero'. - no thanks. :)

i see so many people on the track giving the car some but no-where near thrashing it.... the hole argument is flawed and one big guesstimate, check the car over with a fine comb brush, you'll soon spot if its been abused in ANY environment.
Their s a guy where i live with a cayman GTS, and i swear to god, this guy cains the living crap, literally everywhere out of this poor car, i see it everyday being revved to the limit, wheel spinning, and i always think, id hate to own that car after him.

ultimately i agree, each to their own thoughts on that one :) :) :) :) :) :)

OP imo definitely don't be put off unless you see anything untoward, its a gorgeous car with top level dampers.

I don't disagree, its a lottery. But, in my opinion, a tracked car just pushes the odds. Given two perfectly comparable cars, I'd go for the one that has not been tracked. Others can do what they choose with thier money.

Now also on eBay...

He did go on abit in the add...mind you don't agree with the sat nav comment. My LUX pack in my alpina works a treat...no issues..and i find the screen really usefull when I am using my intarvee / iPod for song listings..

It is a rare car, but there is another black one for sale too...

I love mine...

Its not an original example anymore...hence the price I think...and I'm sure you can knock him down more..

Yes, but not everyone who is selling a car will tell you its been tracked and you would never know unless the seller states it in his add, or the seller tells you.
