Opinions on these mirror covers

Thinking of getting these carbon mirror covers , anyone fitted them
 
Funnily enough I was looking at these as well this morning. A few things put me off, 1) They're being sold from China so will take about 3 weeks to get here and the quality is bound to suspect. 2) They're glossy and I'd prefer matt (ish) ones. 3) They're expensive for what they are, ok I know the pukka ones are mega bucks but the quality of those is pretty much guaranteed so they're more likely to actually fit straight out of the box. I can buy the 3M vinyl and wrap them myself for less than £20 so it's no contest really - wrapping it is :)

If anyone buys these let us know what they're like
 
Those are from China also, Johnny :poke:

These do look good but they don't wrap around the cover so you can see the paintwork from the other side (the side you see when you look from inside the car).

Ok if your car is black, but not so good if it's lighter.

They are covers, so I imagine will look shite. They need to replace what's there in my opinion, not just cover.

A very Halfords finish IMO
 
Imo better off paying more and getting it done properly... Dont get covers but proper replacments...Ranski hydro dipped his ones... And mac got proper carbon ones.

Its the only way imo.

You'll also need some more carbon on the outside to match... So get yours hydro dipped along with the centre bar on your front and rear bumper!

Just tacky imo, they just stick on and you can still see the original colour from the front of the mirror, if it was a solid molded replacement for the original cover then I think they would be OK.

Just sticking carbon over the top just looks and feels cheap imo. :thumbsdown: :fuelfire:

Deffo "Halfords" I wouldn't be surprised if they said rip-speed inside :rofl:
