opinions on if this would be a worthwhile task?

My car is for sale now at £8k.
I was thinking if part exchanging the sport seats and m sport wheel+multi function controls for the standard leather wheel and seats+cash would enable me to reduce the price and make it more appealing to someone looking to get a z4 coupe for less.

how much would the trade enable me to reduce the price by??
opinions on if I should do it (no bias please, don't say do it just because you want a sports wheel or seats  )

?!!!! Sounds like a bonkers idea. Your car is more desirable with them so there for easier to sell.

If you upgraded and are putting back to standard then there is a certain sense in cwapping bits out. These are typically performance bits that generally make a car less desirable.

However, if you're downgrading the car it won't work at all.

Perhaps you'll net £750 -£1k for the bits, but do you think you'll suddendly get a trail of peolple lining up to pay £7k to £7,250?

More likely £6,500 for a below spec car that they need to put right.

Agree with the above - you'd have to be madder than a bag of frogs to do that. You'd be de-spec'ing your car, an Si, which would make it much less desirable.

I agree... if you have made the changes yourself... then it may be better to put it back to standard...

If you are "downgrading" it, then no... that's just mental.

I have spare "normal" seats if you need to do a change over...

It would bring the spec partially down from a SI Sport to an SI SE, which seems to get similar money on AT anyway, was just an idea :P
i'll sell as is.
