open the roof while driving

I prepare a file with the explanations.
But know first of all that
To operate the vehicle must have option 322

Has anyone tried this module. Looks like it does most of what I want for half the price. However, installation is not for the faint of heart. http://www.reinhold-engineering.de/products.html#manufaBMW

Javis20, the first line of the (E89) product description says "The module only uses functions which were originally built into the vehicle. "
I not sure if this means all E89 are built with comfort mode. And only some are activated and this will access (activate) this mode, or what ?

Seems very few were fitted with this option in the UK...

The SmartTop is plug and play, can be installed or removed in less than half an hour, you can pick one up on this forum for approximately £200 and then resell for the same amount.

Why would you try and install this reinhold module which is not plug and play for the same cost as a 2nd hand SmartTop, it would be harder to sell the reinhold module and for far less than it cost. If a mistake is made in installation by connecting the wrong cable or cable coming loose, then facing huge costs to repair failed roof

I have never seen one for that price. Here in the states they are $400+ plus. And 2nd hand, about $325.
Not sure why the german version requires such an involved hookup. They could have easily made a simple plug and play cable.

I bought mine from a forum member - (sub £200 ) its been in both the previous car and the current car.
If I ever sell the car it will certainly be taken out and sold on once again.

The Idea of cutting into the loom doesn't appeal to me.
