Hi,

I had a search, but couldnt find anything. Is it possible to wire in the roof so you can open it on the BMW keyfob, or install a seconadry module that opens and closes the roof on a seperate fob with the car unlocked?

Thanks

It should already open on fob Press an hold unlock. Close can be coded to work. You can get a module that will make it press an it opens instead of press an hold. An the same to close.
If it doesn't work on open by pressing and holding. Put the key in the drivers door turn to unlock and hold it there. Then just to try with roof down key in door and turn it to lock an hold it there

GapTech is the module a lot of people on here (including me) have bought and installed....it's brilliant!

You can't have looked very hard :poke:

Reinhold or GapTech are the most common aftermarket options, but hopefully there will be a cheaper offering very soon by one of our own members.

It is possible your key isn't coded to open the roof, but a module is better as you don,t have to keep the button pressed, which is harder than it sounds to do.

Both offer options for one touch opening/closing when you are in the car also.

Very good unless it goes wrong.

Am I missing something with the Gaptech? It just doesn't seem to do much for £120, or is it one of these gadgets where you don't realise how much more convenient it is until you actually have one?
