Oops!

I was 3 weeks overdue in my 3 series :o

I took it in for an early MOT but because I was too early, it moved the MOT date from 28th August to 23rd July. Won't make that mistake again

If its on the drive it's no problem, you are then allowed to drive straight to a booked appointment at an MOT garage, don't worry about it. Forgetting tax is what always gets me

If your mot & tax are due at the same time, suggest getting a 6 month tax next time.

Least then if u renew tax annually they won't be due at the same time

Although, each second time you renew the tax the MOT will be due (or overdue), so the problem remains... and the buggers charge you more too!

I think what they mean is, if the MOT & tax fall at the same time, when you first buy the vehicle, tax it for 6 months just the once. Then hereafter, tax it for 12 months.....simples.

If the dealer values your business they should send you a reminder, or call you. If you call them up they should be able to advise.

Generally it's 3 years after 1st registration, which will be on the log book

Well that was good news. Straight pass and no advisories. The tester was a Petrolhead and spent almost an hour talking about the car and complimented it on its condition :)

Great news your Z4 passed wish they would send out reminders for M.O.T's its easy to go over due with multi car families.

A lot of the dealers will send you a reminder. I've only had the Alpina 6 months. I had it in mind the tax and MOT were 6 months apart on it. Silly me.
