ooooo what does this button do!

So I was in the car a minute ago playing and working out how the rain sensors function and how all of the ac bits in the middle work.

I noticed this button just above the middle storage unit with the cd changer in that looks the same as the button to access this but I cant find anywhere its function and I dont really want to press it incase its something that unclips some of the interior, I couldn't find it in the owners manual (or I wasn't looking hard enough).

So what does it do? :?

It's for manual roof operation, don't think it does anything on post facelifts though

When the roof closes fully a catch clicks into place, and this releases the catch when you need to put the roof up manually.

That's why it's not functional on post facelifts as they removed that catch, it's all coming back now.
