Hi
Has anybody else seen on You Tube a post by Brassingtons investment company titled Z4M better investment than a Rolex watch. In the post the presenter says there are only 60 Z4Ms registered in the Uk ? And are a better investment than a Rolex Daytona watch.
I pointed out to them more like 500 to 600 but no they insist it is in fact 60 . So who has the other 59 we are in fact a very rare bread ?

Any comments.

Look like he’s talking bollocks..a technical term..

According to how many left there are 759 taxed and 245 sorn’d

https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/bmw_z4_m

So that’s more than 1,000..

Interesting the attrition rate and the number of hangar queens..

Maybe he was talking about 60 bent blue ones with green upholstery?

There are 427 35is for reference…sounds like a rarer model… :tumbleweed:

Hi
Yes I know that just thought to put on the forum to see the response it provoked.

I have see the figures to which you refer, I even put it to them was this Imola Red Roadsters as in the post .But NO ! It was 60 as stated.

Don't think I would like for them to be looking after my investments !

Still can only potentialy create demand from get rich merchants.

Thanks for you reply.

Regards

Allan

Albeit inferior and not an M

Yes,and less popular as a result,as Google proves yet again.
God ,some people do like to be centre of every thread going.

They are definitely wrong! I wouldn't be surprised if there are more than 60 M owners on here.

If you have some time to spare here is a link to a database a forum member compiled and it shows 1,206 Ms were registered in the UK.

Nice one !
I recently retired from working for an American company that was thier mantra !

Quite so..I remember an enthusiastic young product manager pitching the benefits of a new product..when he stopped he said..”my god and that’s even true”

I love it when people bite…couldn’t resist throwing that in.

Definitely not a M

Inferior…to some probably Z4M owners for sure, to some ex Z4M owners maybe not, for me it’s just a different animal and the basis of a starting point that a Z4M would not be a good basis for. :tumbleweed:

Oh dear, shouldn't a said that. Now there will be trouble from the Yellow Peril. :ilz4f:

I’m chill, I’d be the first to say that a 35is is much overblown (pun) icon within the E89 family.

As a basis of creating something that is much more competent it’s the best Z4 chassis / engine to start from unless you can afford to start ripping a new Z40Mi apart…but for me the E89 is prettier than the G29 as well as a cheaper starting point.

For the record I think some of the E85s are the prettiest Zeds.

I’d let Z4Mad comment further but he’s been struck off :tumbleweed:

Refer to my post a bit further up  No fun round here

Thought you might have had a nibble after you're M badge post!

Got his data from "howmanyleft.co.uk". If you search for Z4M you get the kind of numbers we would expect and discussed above. There are numbers for each Z4 ENGINE and model variant. If you search on just Z4 roadster then you get 60 ish. Is that what he looked at? Maybe these were registered without reference to the specific model and probably none of them Z4M.
Anyway shows a complete lack of attention to detail. Would not trust them with my investments. :o

There were only ever 921 rhd e85 m roadsters produced. It is a very rare car. There about 200,000 e85/86 cars built. I would guess at around 40 to 50000 rhd non m e85s.
