Only 45 M40i coming to the UK

Only 45 cars are going to be available apparently after reading the e mail sent from BMW. that would mean second hand values are going to be ballistic! Surely this can’t be correct.

45 first edition cars in frozen orange colour before the new cars go on general sale.

It's definitely an equation that looks at how many they can sell on the first day so they can release a statement saying it has sold out....so 45 was all they were prepared to commit to.

As pointed out already the 45 will be a special 'launch' edition, they will all be pretty well specced and available in a limited pallet, potentially only available on said launch edition!

There will be many regular Z4 M40i available for paying customers... launch editions are common place and often priced at a premium but represent as close to the concept as the production car can be.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record being "as close to the concept as the production car can be" is still light years away. I think that I read somewhere that the limited palette is orange.

Indeed, the only colour available on the First Edition is “BMW Individual Special Paint Frozen Orange metallic”.
