Well, the lady did say one day if I could get it in early morning and provided they aren't real backed up on work. Plus they'll MOT it too. I'll walk around it with them and find out what they plan on doing to the car before I give it to em willy nilly.

Actually what I'm worried about is finding it missing a bumper, having huge dents, or the mileage tampered with.

Sorry, on top of getting the car I've been going 200 miles a minute trying to get housing sorted.

The verdict is the car is in the exact same condition I delivered it in. No new scratches. All fluids good.
The only bad part was they didn't tell me they lowered the air pressure in the tires to 25psi. I didn't think to check before I left (if they didn't have air I had the mobility kit). I noticed as me and my friend were driving to drop off my rental rover from hell that the steering seemed uhm squishy. At the time I chalked it up to not driving the car from so long. Then I checked the tires and reaffirmed you should always trust your gut.
The really hard part has been breaking the engine back in and not taking advantage of the loads of power under the bonnet.

The bad part is for one, its a wide car. For two, I'm used to riding a good bit away from the curb or center line. I did this in the rover too, but it was small enough I was about a foot (well maybe less) from the edge of the road. If I do that in the zed I'm pretty close if not on the white line which of course puts the car in the center of the road and I'm sure makes oncoming traffic very nervous. So I'm having to relearn my width and force myself to driving a lot closer to the curb than I would like. I give it a week.

I haven't had lights converted yet, the money I was going to use for that will most likely go to rent + deposit. BOOO. Luckily though I should have enough cash to cover light conversion + MOT once my money comes in for dropping off the car.

Tanks. I didn't realize that was nearby. Still trying to learn the regions. Unfortunately I work this Saturday. It's seem like it will be hit or miss if I'm working on a saturday for the next few months. Of course they don't bother telling us well in advance so we can plan trips either.

I am doing the Autumn run with pistonheads this Sunday. I'll be doing the Cambridge leg of the trip. Hmm, we need to get that cruise that has been stickied up an going again....I'll be back :evil:
