One touch roof/brake light programme?

Hi, I was wandering;
as there are so many over priced one touch roof-mudules floating around ebaY etc...

And speaking to a BMW specialist, is it not possible to have the programme flashed on the car, so the roof works on the key; thus saving £80 for just this module?

I also want the one circle break light function, has anybody managed to get this software flashed on their car, through an independant garage?

... pretty sure you couldn't go it with software, but it's a 10 min job to do it this way.
 
Do a search for gaptec.... many of us have his one touch roof module.. including myself... i even had a reinhold, which i sold one i got the gaptech as it is much easier to install... a couple of wires near the cig socket. Also adds one touch to the button onside the cabin, so you dont have to hold it to open/ close the roof.

My car cam from the factory able to drop the roof by holding the keyfob button. I got an indi to reprograme it to raise by holding the closing button....but its much easier with these roof module to do three clicks and open/ close!

As for the full circle brake light i think there is a thread here on how to rewire it to work... but as i have a facelift i dont know the details of this.

Most will charge £40 or so for programming, and even then you will have to press and hold the button to open/close which is easier said than done.

Reinhold/Gaptech modules are worth the money IMO.
