one touch down window function

hi guys, just a little fault ive found with my 3.0, the one touch down function works but one touch up does on the passengers side - it doesnt work on either switch.

Ive read of a reset proceedure - but cant get it to work correctly?

the drivers works ok in both directions.

One touch on the passenger side (for driver at least) wasn't a standard feature - although you can have it programmed in, as a few members have done.

Depend on model year facelifts have one touch both side, and I'm sure it was standard at some point before facelifts as well.
 
guys, it has the one touch function when lowering the windows on both sides but only the drivers one operates one touch when closing.?
 
Same as mine on a 53 plate... you can get the functions changed so it'll do it. As srhutch said, it depends on year (learn something new!) - although yours in an early one? In which case you would need to get the function added... an indi can do this, at a charge - assuming they have the correct computer... a stealer can, some reluctantly, at a much larger cost IIRC!
 
Think it changed in 2004 sometime, my memory is lapsing now :oldman:

Don't think the dealer will do it for you, probably have to go to one of the specialists.

That's the way I remember it...
 
remember it could also be activated but the windows need resetting. that makes it do wierd things, ill add this into the faq asap.
 
hi Andy,

That makes more sense to me -- i cant imagine it would be programemd for the pass window to only work on one shot down but not back up!
I printed off the proceedure for resetting but cant really make sense of it?

basically ignition on, engine not

put window down half way

then pull it up, hold, then keep holding for about 2+ seconds

then down all the way, keep holding for 2+ seconds

that normally does it for me, altho the topics listed on here seem slightly different. try something along those lines ?
