one touch 3 flash indicators

Got my car out of the garage today after they 'fixed' a squeek/rattle that is still squeeking/rattling and also programed the 3 flash indicator.

The inertesting bit that i didn't know is that this is aparently programed by a combination of presses to the indicator stalk - so i'm thinking how does that work as there could be others that are possible DIY?

well i beleive most things need to be programmed by setting info to the key or connecting the car to a computer.

the indicator '3 flash' setting and as i was also told day light running lights (side lights come on on ignition) are programmed by the indicator stalk so the stealer said. you just need to know the appropriate combination of switches to get into it.

for example i've known on a past car by putting the key in the drivers door and rotating 4 times to the unlock postion enters the diognostics for you to then change stuff.

These user preferances should be programable by the user.

BMW keep them hidden just so they can charge customers more money.

It's an absolute joke :x

Audi were the same but you could get Vag Com for free to do it yourself. The only company that lets you play with them are Mercedes! On my c class I could go into the computer and change loads and see stacks of info. Very impressive IMO :)

That would be great if someone could get hold of the info needed to change the user preferences using simple button presses in the car. Maybe there's a BMW tech on hear that would share? Nah, that would talk aaway form their gravy work :poke:

I had an indi garage turn all the extra features on for me, bmw/sytner wouldnt allow the remote roof opening and complete closure/open/.

oh, speaking of sytner, my car has their logo sticker on the back window and I can't get it off, it's super glued!

Obviously, i'm interested in the extra hidden features too!
