One of my Xenon Headlights is pink !

I only noticed a slight colour difference yesterday and the near side is definitely a little dimmer. It's really only visible in low/no light. I don't know if these bulbs can damage anything else when they go kaput given the voltages involved, but I'd rather not find out the expensive way - best just replace them both now. The ones linked are slightly brighter & whiter than OEM as well I think.

Very weird given the mileage on the car and the fact they've probably been used a lot less than most, but they are 7 years old so maybe age is a factor :idunno:

...which I don't. Yet. Am on the hunt for some advice with respect to warranties, but that's not for this thread...

As you say Bing, the headlights were almost never used as the car was used 99% during the day.

The passenger side bulb on my car appears to be going a bit pink so I think that bulb is on the way out. Sopers quoted me £175 list, £145 with forum discount... As I'm not in the old to have my wallet raped, has anyone used the non-OEM Philips bulbs, and have they lasted ?

Pink bulbs. So it is a hairdressers car. :poke:

Sorry! couldn't resist.

My car seems to have its (autolights) on all the time except the brightest/ sunniest days.

The light going shouldn't do any damage, there is discrepancies in the colour of the bulbs anyway… If its not ridiculously obvious I would leave it...

Was that the side you said had condensation earlier?

No - that was the drivers side. Tbh it's a convenient reason to get the wheels off, clean the headlight seals, turn them over, lube them up for a better seal, and then get those wheel mates on that you gave me. Assume I don't need copper slip with them btw ?

@Tom - quite apart from my OCD being roused above acceptable levels, and the fact the bulbs are bought, I'd rather not wait until one fails as I use my car too much to deal with the hassle.

No copper slip required, put straight on. They should fly off now anyway with the recent brake fluid changes ...

Found these, same as the ones Jan got - £54 for the pair, seller has loads of +ve feedback and lots of buyers from overseas so I reckon these are a global steal

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but just noticed one of my xenon going pink. Bing - are these still working? They sound almost too good to be true.

I bought the same ones from eBay in December. One of them died a month ago :( but the seller did send me a replacement free of charge.

Not sure if thy are fakes but the light output is way brighter then the original xenons
