One hour gyrocopter flight

Mk 3 Halifax
If you see photographs of this aircraft you'll notice that it didn't have a nose gun - I don't know why?

A wonderful photo and piece of family history.

Love the nose art. Does the swastika indicate that the crew had shot down an enemy aircraft?

Yes it does - and i believe that was his DFC
I don't know why this aircraft didn't have a nose gun and he isn't around to ask.

Ronk,

I've sent you a PM but I also had a family member on board LV937.

He was my great uncle, Bob (Robert) Jackson. I believe he is listed as F Sgt R. T Jackson.

Would love to know some more if you have any info.

Ben
