One electric mirror not working

Hi. Just bought a 2011 28i E89. Lovely condition and I thought I'd checked everything before buying. However I just found the LH door mirror isn't adjusting or folding but the RH mirror works perfectly. I assume it's not a fuse problem because I believe the fuses (#8 and #27) cover both mirrors. Can anyone suggest how I progress with faultfinding. I can move the mirror glass and folding mechanism manually but it shows no signs of life when trying to move with the switch. Grateful for any ideas!
 
Thanks ph001. Considering a switch problem but folding mirror button controls both. Possibly the switch between left/right adjustment is faulty and not connecting through to the LH mirror - can look at that. But the fact LH mirror doesn't seem to get signal for fold or adjustment makes me think it could be just a disconnected wiring connector to the LH mirror. Does anyone know where the connectors are and how to get to them?
