Caught this on Piston Heads. A friend of mine was about to exit the pits, as this Nob Jockey drove passed him and into the middle of a race.

Also ensured that for all other race events that there is even more red tape, delays and possibly a lot more restrictions that we currently enjoy. A genuine car fan/enthusiast would never in their right mind do that. And the company who provided the security will find themselves with possibly some financial consequence due to this and if they do they'd be well within their rights to sue the perpetrator in this.

Clearly no respect for himself, his girlfriend and friend and the other drivers taking part. Couple into that if a crash had been caused it could have been horrendous and for that amount of people to have to watch would be terrible. No respect for anyone and shouldn't be allowed on the road if that's the attitude.

It looks like the police weren't very amused by the stunt but couldn't find any laws that he'd broken while gate-crashing the race - presumably because it's on private property - which is why they've latched onto his refusal to let his GF out of the car and arrested him on suspicion of false imprisonment which is, potentially, much more serious than any driving offence he may have committed

He will, if convicted have to declare this on any future insurance policies. Not sure what impact it makes but I'm sure the fact they ask about non motoring convictions is taken on board.

also... Aggravated Trespass.
that's what they should get him on too!

68 Offence of aggravated trespass.

(1)A person commits the offence of aggravated trespass if he trespasses on land [F1in the open air] and, in relation to any lawful activity which persons are engaging in or are about to engage in on that or adjoining land [F2in the open air] , does there anything which is intended by him to have the effect—

(a)of intimidating those persons or any of them so as to deter them or any of them from engaging in that activity,

(b)of obstructing that activity, or

(c)of disrupting that activity.
