Onboard computer LCD Brightness

Just wondering how many of you on here have the brightness problem with the on board monitor if you have it. You change the brightness in the settings menu, then when you next get in the car, the bloody thing reverts back to the default. obviously a software glitch, but still not sorted by the looks of it...
 
Never noticed that.. maybe try upgrading the firmware, altho that's a bit of a stab in the dark.. you do have an 03 tho, so likely to have old firmware.
 
Mine's always bright. When you turn on the lights on, the dimmer wheel controls it. There is also a little clear "hole" on the light panel--that's the ambient light sensor.
