On the lookout for Z4 M engine or engine parts?

Anyone hears of a Z4M being sold for parts or relatively recent E46 M3 please let me know. Due to my catastrophic rod bearings problem i'm looking for a new crankshaft, new connecting rods and of course new bearings. It might be cheaper getting a whole engine and stick that in with new bearings instead. Any leads you might see on your travels please let me know.

I hope it's OK to post this here instead of the Wanted section but if the mods think it belongs there feel free to move it. :)
 
I think Simpsons have a ready supply of them, and they quote 'from £3k' stock or 'built to your spec'.
 
Hi, I have the bits out of an S54 engine that has been converted to turbo. Rods and bearings and pistons and valves and springs. We changed all the innards. The old parts were good, just not suitable for the 600BHP engine, as we wanted to start with new parts.
 
Simpsons have a good relationship with FAB Direct http://www.fabdirect.com, a specialist BMW vehicle dismantlers, which is relatively local to them. Jason Cross is the owner of FAB. It might be worthwhile sending him an email telling him of your situation and location. I'm sure he can get you sorted one way or another. :thumbsup:
