On Board Computer Glitch- Any Ideas?

Hi Folks. Just returned from collecting my son from Birmingham Airport. Before getting my son from arrivals the car was fine. When I returned to it and turned the ignition on I saw that all the functions had inexplicably zeroed themselves, mpg, average speed, trip computer, time etc. apart from the temp gauge. No warning lights have come on.
Has anybody else experienced this or have any ideas.
The car is a 2007 coupe.

This could be the symptoms of a failing battery if it's a few years old the cold weather can be a killer for old batteries.

Still a failing battery, but it has been known for them to be discharged by the alarm repeatedly going off due to those nasty noisy planes flying past.

See how it goes in a normal environment before paying out for a replacement.
