If you find it's hard you need to hold on really tight when screwing.

i bought the real bmw stubby...but have since lost the ability to listen to AM radio....oh well the french radio we get on the south coast is $HITE anyway

Well you would as the wing aerial is for AM. FM is across the rear bumper, using the wing aerial only in poor signal reception areas.

I have the BMW one, which I'd class as a shorty rather than a stubby. It was well worth it for the 2yr guarantee, as these things are well known for their catastrophic and expensive failures... :?

Just put my OEM one back after 2 years of a Mangowalk and can actually listen to the radio again.
