The Canadian ladies won Gold in Curling, beating the Swedes , I think the Brits got a Bronze in this , good going :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
Didn't a Brit girl win a gold in bobsleigh or similar ?? Excellent :thumbsup:

Yeah, something like 75% of them are going Dutch.... and 4 podium sweeps so far.. pretty amazing. :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
 
The deciding Men's Curling Event tomorrow Mcbeee, Dutch Skating has been amazing as has the Ski Cross - France taking Gold, Silver Bronze . GB 's best Winter Olympics since 1924 .

I used to travel out to Calgary a lot and it's pretty impressive how serious you guys take the Winter Olympics - it's like The World Cup :thumbsup:
 
We hosted it in 1988, remember Eddie the Eagle, the crazy Brit Ski jumper....and the Jamaican Bobsleigh team....what a blast that was.

We take winter sports seriously ... its winter here for 5 months a year. :thumbsdown: :thumbsdown:
 
Yep Driven past the Skijump and been in the Saddledome - mate of mine was a torch bearer for Vancouver .

Great City - quite partial to a pint of Grasshopper

Yes in the Skeleton we won gold. Yeah for some reason the Brits seems to produce women who love sliding down a track on a tea tray! Won gold last time too!

If Scotland were to devolve themselves from Great Britain (which won't happen) the GB team won't be winning much curling. It's always the mad scots doing it! One of the ladies who won gold back in 2002 Worked in my office.
 
Murdoch's not doing well in the gold medal curling match.. I'm starting to cheer for him instead of our obnoxiously loud Canadian team. I think they're psyched out a bit...

Curling ... the second slowest sport next to golf... and it's not that easy to play.....the alcohol levels don't help much either :rofl:
 
We are so much on the back foot that what ever we try your lot have an answer for. :(
 
They didn't get to Final match without talent, I think they're playing too defensive from the onset. Needed to take it to them hard from the first end.

Silver is still second in the world, not bad at all .. :thumbsup:
 
Hey, Ya know - there's nothing wrong with the Brit women's curling Team... I'm just sayin'.... They had my attention.
 
And now Canada's men are through in the hockey too :)

Not the most exciting match ever, but it is nice to get some hockey on mainstream British TV

Only watched the first half, then went for a haircut. Been waiting for the final score to be mentioned...
